Vivid Seats - Advertised Meat Loaf in concert - tickets are for a cove band!!!!
Yahoo had an ad saying see Meat Loaf in concert, with a photo of Meat Loaf. I excitedly clicked on it and was taken to the Vivid Seats official site.
After purchasing tickets WITH the additional insurance in case I had to cancel, I received my email confirmation stating, youโre going to see Meat Loaf! The confirmation states Meat Loaf in concert. I could not believe I snagged second row center stage (youโll read why). I received the tickets via email 2 days later for the Meatloaf Experience with American Idol winner Caleb Johnson.
WTF??!! Called 6 times and finally got to an account rep who had me on hold for 33 minutes. I was told they will review all the information and get back to me. What about the additional insurance I purchased?
โThatโs a 3rd party vendor,โ he said, so they couldnโt give me any info on their policies. So, to recap, I bought tickets for Meat Loaf in concert, I received tickets for Caleb Johnson (whoever that is) and even though I purchased additional insurance in case I couldnโt attend, they have to review my case for a refund? Iโm guessing I wonโt see a dime and will never hear from them again.
Iโm going to file a dispute with my credit card company and see if that helps. STAY AWAY from these scam artists!
Reason of review: Return, Exchange or Cancellation Policy.
Monetary Loss: $228.
Preferred solution: Full refund.
Vivid Seats Cons: Bait and switch of event.
